The Earps in San Berdoo

March 5, 1880 “We arrived in San Bernardino on Wednesday evening, and Thursday we came by train to the Temescal Mountains Warm Springs.…I suppose I will have to live here now for some time, for there is no way to make enough money to get away. - Louisa Houston   In March of 1880, Morgan and his wife Louisa step off the train near San Bernardino. They are only there for 4 months before Morgan heads for Tombstone. He sends for Louisa shortly after. She arrives, he sends her back to Colton after things heat up with the cowboys. Morgan is killed.  The next day Wyatt turns 34. Louisa receives news of Morgans death via telegram in Colton. His body goes back to Colton to be burried at Slover cemetery. 10 years later it is exhumed by railroad workers and reburied along with other bodies at nearby Hermosa Gardens Cemetery. The probability that his body was mixed up with others is likely.   Wyatts cottage  in Vidal. Newton Virg
